There is such a magic in the glow of an expectant mama + carrying life is one of the most beautiful things in the world (even if it doesn't always feel that way, I have been there!). I love capturing this season of life and truly believe that it's so important and special to be able to document that belly before your little one is out in the world. My approach in maternity sessions is to create light-filled images that preserve the beauty of you and
your journey to baby. Other family members are welcome! Maternity sessions can take place outdoors or in my studio. They include full-service consultation, with a Session Prep Guide complete with styling tips (and assistance if you prefer!). I love being along every step of the way from the prep/planning to the final delivery of your gallery. Maternity sessions can also be included in a collection paired with other sessions once baby is here.

All of my sessions are booked through a booking site that is easy to navigate + provide payment. You can use your card, PayPal, or Venmo - whatever is easiest for you.
How can i book my session?
Once you book your session, you will receive a Session Prep Guide which will include styling tips for your session - including pictures!
I have a background in Fashion, including a degree in Fashion Merchandising, + love to help with this part of the process! I always offer a zoom call to chat about styling or am here to text or email about looks that will add to the overall final outcome + beauty in your photos.
WHAT DO I WEAR?
There are several locations in the area that are ideal for photos, as they offer great light, backgrounds, options, and aren't typically overcrowded.
The Session Prep Guide will include a section on location suggestions and I am also always willing to work with you on the location that best meets the vision you have for your photo session. My indoor studio in the Great Neck area is also always an option for any photo session booked with ABP.
where will the photos be?
When scheduling maternity photos, I usually recommend between 28 + 34 weeks, or between the 7th + 8th month of pregnancy. This is typically when mama's bump is round and big enough for photos, and also when she is still comfortable!
That means you can reach out early in your pregnancy to go ahead + get on the calendar to secure your spot and be sure you get the date you would like!
WHEN is best for maternity photos?
I would love to capture your special moments, but all sessions outside of 30 miles of Virginia Bach have a travel fee.

do you travel?
Once your gallery is complete (usually within two to three weeks), you will receive a link via email to your online gallery.
The link can easily be shared with family + friends. The files are very easy to download on your smartphone or computer and you will have full rights to print and use your photos as you choose. There is professional printing available through your gallery to make it as easy as possible for you!
HOW will i receive my photos?
In advance, if you can! It is never too early to book your session, I can schedule sessions 6-7 months in advance! It is best to schedule as soon as you can so that you can secure your spot and find the day that works best for your family.
As far as the time of day, outdoor sessions are typically scheduled about one hour before sunset in order to get the best light for photos. Indoor sessions are more flexible, and we can discuss the timing of those together!
