I love meeting new families and getting to see the ones I work with each year grow so much - it's truly one of the highlights of what I do. As a mama of four and former teacher, I love kids and love capturing the joy of childhood and family. My light + airy sessions are aimed at documenting your family in a timeless way - with a combination of the "posed" photos but also candid ones
with lots of movement and life! Once you are ready to move forward, I will create a booking link for you and all you have to do is sign the contract and pay the deposit. Once that is complete, your spot is reserved on my calendar!

As soon as you book your session, you will receive my Session Prep Guide and other resources for planning (including my Style Guide!). You also have an option to book a Prep + Planning call for all full sessions. I love the planning process and love to help you with this!

Yay, it's session day! And I'VE GOT YOU!!! All you have to do is show up ready to love on your people and I will take care of the rest. I will guide you through poses with prompts (and sometimes games!) - and if there are kid meltdowns or tough moments, we will work through them! :)

After your session (usually between two + three weeks!), you will receive an email with a link to your gallery. The photos are easy to download and the link is easy to share with family + friends. With full sessions, you can save, print and share all the high-resolution images in your gallery.
Let's get you those photos!
All full sessions booked with Ashley Brickner Photography are given access to my natural-lit, timeless studio in the Great Neck area of Virginia Beach (if you would like indoor photos!). This offers a light + airy setting that is comfortable for the entire family. Full session clients are also given the option to use to my client closet, a curated closet of dresses (size small-large) that photograph beautifully. My schedule books up quickly (which I am so grateful for!), so I always suggest to reach out to get on the calendar a soon as possible. As a busy Chesapeake family photographer, I am typically booking sessions at least six months in advance!

Once you book your session, I will provide you with a location guide of areas I strongly suggest for photos as they provide beautiful light and are typically not very crowded. In addition to the outdoor locations, all clients who book a full session with me are able to use my natural-lit studio in the Great Neck area of Virginia Beach.

I love to help with the styling, it is one of my favorite parts of the process! Once you book, you will receive my Session Prep Guide which has styling information and recommendations. In addition, all full session clients are able to use my client closet, which is a collection of dresses that photograph beautifully. I am ALWAYS here to help with styling and encourage you to use me as a resource on this.

My goal as your photographer is to make the process as seamless, fun and stress-free as possible! I will lead the session with poses and prompts (I've got you!!) .
It's also important to know that I have four kids of my own and you NEVER have to worry about your kids behaving! My sessions are very child-led and I leave plenty of space for them to be - kids! ;)

I do extended family sessions often and love them! My pricing guide will include extended session pricing, and this is determined by the number of family members participating in the session.
And pets are always welcome in the photos - they are part of the family! My Session Prep Guide will include tips for bringing your pets to sessions.
